Bloom Academy Charter School exists to provide a high quality, rigorous, and joyful educational experience to students in grades kindergarten to fifth grade. We are a new and independent school seeking to add deeply mission aligned, smart, hardworking, and emotionally intelligent people to our founding staff. We opened August 2019 with a cohort of kindergarten and first graders and now serve scholars in grades K-5.

Bloom Academy Managing Director of Curriculum and Instruction
Driven by our mission to ensure every child succeeds, the Operations Manager oversees the daily non-instructional functions of the school, ensuring the school operates efficiently and effectively. This role is responsible for facilities management, safety procedures, vendor relations, compliance, and logistics, allowing school leaders and teachers to focus on academic success.
The Operations Manager will have the following key responsibilities:
School Operations & Logistics
- In collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer, oversee and manage day-to-day school operations, ensuring smooth execution of activities.
- Develop and implement operational systems to enhance efficiency across departments.
- Manage school schedules, calendars, and event logistics.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding school operations.
Facilities & Safety Management
- Oversee school facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained, safe, and clean.
- Coordinate with custodial and maintenance staff for repairs and upkeep.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, including emergency preparedness plans and drills.
- Manage security systems, building access, and visitor policies.
Vendor & Resource Management
- Serve as the primary liaison with external vendors and service providers.
- Oversee procurement, contracts, and inventory for supplies, furniture, and equipment.
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing and adherence to school budget guidelines.
Technology & Data Systems
- Oversee IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable access to technology for students and staff.
- Support technology integration in classrooms and administrative processes.
Transportation & Food Services
- Manage transportation logistics, including bus schedules and vendor coordination.
- Oversee food service operations, ensuring compliance with nutrition guidelines and quality standards.
- Address transportation and meal-related concerns from parents and staff.
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain records and ensure compliance with charter school regulations, safety codes, and district policies.
- Support audit preparation and reporting for operational functions.
- Ensure that staff adhere to policies related to operations, security, and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- At least 2 years of K - 5 experience in an underserved community
- Deep alignment with our school’s mission and core values.
- A staunch belief that all students regardless of race or socio-economic status can achieve at high levels and be positive contributors to their communities.
- A successful background check in compliance with state law.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with all school stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and social media platforms (Instagram & Facebook).
